I received two mailers for the personal no annual fee Citi AA card in March and April. I had no interest in that so I checked for pre-qualifications and had none. I went ahead and took a shot for the business card for the 75000 miles in $5K spend. Instantly approved for $19,450. This was also during the time they were declining my SP CLI requests on my personal cards. It took a call to the EO to overturn my "too many inquries" rejection on my DC two years ago. But since then they have started to lighten up on my profile. Also, does anyone ever get an even number with a Citi approval?! I've always had oddballs with my starting limits like $7,900 instead of an even $8000. Or this one where it could be $20,000.
CitiBusiness: $19,450
Citi DC: $24,500
Citi Costco: $15,500
Overall Citi Exposure: $59,450
Congrats on your new business card. And yeah Citi and Bofa as well give screwball limits from my experiences and datapoints here on the board as well.
