Happy New Year! FNBO Evergreen Business Instant Approval

I had been trying to get the pre-approval for FNBO's business credit card. With the new year came an instant approval of $13,900. I applied on a whim and wasn't expecting the pre-approval. When I continued the application, the final approval amount was the same.

Patience is a virtue. While we do have American Express business products, I like having a little diversity in business credit cards. The other day I was in a store and noticed their credit-card sign only had Discover, Mastercard, and VISA. I asked and sure enough, they didn't take Amex. I had to put it on my personal VISA.  Oh well!

Here's the funny thing about this approval. I have an FNBO Secured Visa with a limit of $5,000. I had this Visa for more than 7 years and it has never graduated to unsecured. It has had a $0 balance for quite some time. When I call they say "it will automatically be evaluated at every statement (after the first 11 months)." Well... 7 years and nothing.

Yesterday, a $13,900 pre-approval. Nothing makes sense to me any longer!
