What happens if you have a credit balance?

On personal cards if you have a credit balance (meaning overpayment) usually they'll give you an option to have a check sent for the additional.

We made a purchase about a month ago for $1,200 which we had to return because it was defective. So now there's a credit balance of just under $1,200 on Chase Ink.

Do you know if it will just stay there until we make new charges or if there's an option for them to send us a check?

Cap One is quick to send you a check. I have had credit balances with Chase for similar reasons and there is never a problem with ability to just spend through the credit.

For us at this point it would probably take us min 2 months to spend it since we just bought a ton of inventory were really really stocked.
