Congrats! I had a pending application and was wondering about the timing too, but it just came through with an approval and is already in my account (I had a pre-existing Barclays View MC). I wonder if perhaps they were rushing to try to get approvals cleared before the promo deadline passed.
The only question now is whether to call back in and ask for a higher CLI while I can do a recon, since signs point to them being difficult to get a CLI out of later on.

Thanks. The timing just varies with Barclays. Just call their security dept (See List of Backdoor Numbers). CLI I wouldn't recommend unless you're willing to eat a hard pull or your profile can support it. CLI is not great but not a big deal. I don't need any more than that to hit the SUB.

Just to follow up for me, I called in to the Backdoor number today and explained the situation. The analyst related that it would have to be another HP to evaluate for a CLI, but she said she'd be able to easily move some of the limit over from my (mostly-unused) Barclays View MC, which was certainly fine for my needs. Quick and easy process.
