Wyndham Business - 90K Offer - Approved!

I applied for this card on 9/20. I went through a series of faxes with Barclays - DL, SSN, 1040 Tax Returns, Firstborn Child...kidding on the firstborn child. Or am I? Anyways, I was approved yesterday 10/12 much to my surprise. CL is not anything to write home about but luckily Barclays cards SUB are easy to meet. Don't stay at Wyndham much but the automatic Diamond status, status match, and 15,000 points every year ($90 value) makes this a sock drawer card for sure.

Re: Wyndham Business - 90K Offer - Approved!

Congrats! I had a pending application and was wondering about the timing too, but it just came through with an approval and is already in my account (I had a pre-existing Barclays View MC). I wonder if perhaps they were rushing to try to get approvals cleared before the promo deadline passed.

The only question now is whether to call back in and ask for a higher CLI while I can do a recon, since signs point to them being difficult to get a CLI out of later on.

Thanks. The timing just varies with Barclays. Just call their security dept (See List of Backdoor Numbers). CLI I wouldn't recommend unless you're willing to eat a hard pull or your profile can support it. CLI is not great but not a big deal. I don't need any more than that to hit the SUB.

Just to follow up for me, I called in to the Backdoor number today and explained the situation. The analyst related that it would have to be another HP to evaluate for a CLI, but she said she'd be able to easily move some of the limit over from my (mostly-unused) Barclays View MC, which was certainly fine for my needs. Quick and easy process.
