10 Apps on EX -at Once or few hrs/days intervals

hi

If i did not have one medical collection i m so very desperately waiting to be removed from EX i would be on an app spree today.

I have need/urge to apply for

Chase CSP

Chase UnitedExplorer
Amex ED

Discover

Costco Visa

SDFCU

Wells Fargo

BBVA Clear Points
Cap1Savor
First Tech FCU

i been lurking around long enough reading posts to know what order should i be applying. just debating whether to do it all at once take whatever i can get and garden or seek more systematic process of apping to get the most approvals.

Keep in mind that a variety of your proposed list include lenders that will pull a secondary CR and not all of these are exclusive to EX.

Capital One, for instance, will pull all 3. Citi and Chase tend to pull 2.

Have you considered any AA ramifications if you were to go through the process of applying for all of them at once?

Also, is this for you or DW?

Then you have also been around long enough to know that, though you have Chase listed as your first apps, they tend to soft pull after an approval and would likely take AA if they were to see all the subsequent apps if you were to go on an app spree.

What exactly is the need for applying for 10 cards anywhere within a couple days of each other? Personally, I can’t think of any legitimate reason.

Even with a strong, thick profile, I wouldn’t expect to see 10 for 10 success. Even if a majority of them were originally approved, some of those lenders have shown to go back and close down cards that were obtained during an ill-advised application spree.

Seeking credit like that sets off all sorts of risk related alarms with lenders. It’s great to have a goal card list, but I’d prioritize the cards you want (and start with Chase if they are on your list of must haves) and work through them over the course of many many months (if not years). Slow and steady; not a sprint.

I can't think of any good reason to apply for all 10 cards in such a short period of time. As others have stated, some of those lenders will surely take AA once they see the blizzard of new accounts. However, you should also consider the SUBs. A number of those cards you've selected have nice ones and it seems inconceivable to me that someone would be able to earn all of them in such a short period of time.

I honestly wouldn’t do this. Even if you got all of them (unlikely), AA could definitely be taken. I would pick no more than 3 to app at one time and then give it at least 6 months to go for any others. If you try for a Chase card, don’t apply for more than 2 total.

I would suggest applying for the 10 cards and then add a card from Barclays and at least 4 cards from Comenity.
