hi,
I have a BK from 2010 and have since rebuilt credit score back to 820. I did have a Barclays related card in the BK (from college!) for some nominal amount but its been soooo long since then and my history has been perfect in terms of payments, late payments, etc.
Does Barlays (underwrites Jet Blue card) never forgive or drop off such that I will ever be able to get an Jet Blue card (my favorite airline)? Could I appeal their letter/decision to me and write them back somehow?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions and info!

typically barclays is blacklisted for life, but there's been a recent DP of somebody getting through after burning them
I wouldn't expect it though, but you can always try and call and plead your case and see if they will recon
As @GZG stated Barclays usually blacklist for life 99.9% of the time . I have seen a very very rare back in .
I have only seen 1 or 2 scenarios in the 9-10 years on this forum that Barclay's has ever let anyone in after burning them. Your chances are slim. You sure can try to call their UW's and plead your case and ask to talk to a supervisor and see if they are willing to override their decision. Sure you aren't or don't have to pay them back(by law due to bk), but they certainly don't have to lend to you again either. The way I personally see it if someone didn't pay you back say some nominal amount such as 1k would you ever lend them money again if they initially promised to pay you back? This is likely how Barclay's see it.

Barclays is a bad bank in my opinion. There are other ways to get Jet Blue points -- e.g., Citi ThankYou points trade 1:1 for JetBlue points. And with a card like the Citi Premier card you can get lots of TYP's (3 TYP's per dollar for groceries, gas, dining, hotels, and airfare, not to mention the large SUB's, typically 60k-80k TYP's)
