How many posters on this forum can honestly say that they got away with using 'it was a computer glitch' as an excuse?
American Express prides itself on being prestigious I expected more out of this company.
I agree. This experience has been the complete opposite of what I experienced with American Express when I first applied for a card in. 2004.
Their excuses ring hollow, especially when nobody in their offshore circus has any authority or initiative to help customers caught up in this madness. Amex's offshore "New App Team" is worse than the worst the DMV has to offer.
This is an update.
So American Express finally updated my internal FICO score albeit 40 days late. And per their customer service I should have been able to apply with no problem for a second product.
So I did. And just as I indicated it came back stating we've already declined to within the past 30 days.
The decline they're referring to is July 2nd.
That's the application that is stuck on in progress.
They've admit it stuck but until they unstick it I can't apply for anything else ever.
