This is only my second time posting so I apologize if I don't use all the right lingo 😃. I have learned so much about credit from this forum and appreciate everyone that contributes!
I recently went on an app spree to get better credit cards. I only had a secured cap 1 from 5 years ago and a cap 1 quicksilver from last year so now that my credit was in good shape I wanted to add some better cards. I applied and was approved for Amex bcp ($4000), discover it ($6000), bofa cash rewards ($7500), cap 1 qs ($10000), and chase freedom ($6000).
The only card I applied for and wasn't approved was the Amazon visa by chase. They told me I wasn't approved because they approved the freedom and they couldn't approve two accounts within a month. Seemed fair enough to me but I've read a lot about recons. Just curious if I should pursue it or if they really will only give a new chase customer 1 account within a month.
Thanks!

They will do 2 in a month. I would pursue it at least two more times before giving up. But apparently the Chase Amazon card is a tough cookie.
Good luck!
Congratulations on all the other cards and limits though!

Thanks! I'm excited about the new cards.
Okay I'll give them a couple more calls since I already took the hard inquiry.
Good decision... If it comes down to it and you are open to it, tell them you are willing to move some limits to open the Amazon card. Keep us posted on results and all the best with the recon.

+1 A $3k Freedom is more than enough because of the $1,500 quarterly caps!
