Almost approved?

So I decided to pull the trigger to see if I could get back in with Cap 1. I submitted my app for a secured card and it says "Good news! You are almost approved." And then says they need additional info and I'll hear from them in 7-10 days. Is this a polite passive aggressive way to deny me or something else?

It's pending approval until they receive the deposit and issue the card upon receipt.

Call them. That’s probably a verification message.

That's what I am hoping it is. The prequal gave a fixed interest rate etc so I figured my chanced were pretty decent or I wouldn't have apped at all.

Well give them a call and find out. Much better to call than wait for a letter.

Well an extremely nervous sounding 12 year old boy said he can see where some sort of letter has been generated but he cant see what is on it. He said right now I am not showing as approved or denied. Just pending review.
