AmEx website approval

Hey all! I tried out the AmEx website pre approval a few times this past year, but today is the first time it's given me anything. (My EXP is right around 680, which I know is low for the Blue Cash Everyday card that I want.) I haven't checked this month because I'm having login trouble with my creditchecktotal but that's where it was at in December. I have a short credit history but am 100% on all payments. Anyway, just wanted to get your guess on approval odds. Here are the screenshots and it did give me an APR% and say that I was prequalified, seems pretty solid. I'm interested in the BCE. The servers are having issues today, I spoke to a rep because I attempted to apply and it wasn't working she recommended to apply tomorrow. FIgured I'd research a little before trying tomorrow.

Re: AmEx website approval

Idk who BS-ed you about 680 being too low for the Blue cash everyday.

I see a lot of 680s and below.

Anyways, the AMeX website should be solid, others can confirm that.
I say go for it.

Re: AmEx website approval

Well thanks random! I'm one of those who tells myself its too good to be true, pretty cynical when I read creditboards pulls lol. But thank you for the vote of confidence, the language in the pre approval made it seem solid, as well as them giving me the actual apr so it's a go tomorrow! Will post results when I get through good or bad lol.

Re: AmEx website approval

Well here's some good news! I got approved for Chase Freedom today. The plan was to apply for both BCE and Freedom, BCE first because I want that more. Got mad waiting for AmEx to fix their site so just went for it. Hoping for more good news tomorrow!

Re: AmEx website approval

Good luck with the BCE! I applied a few days ago and got instant approval with good scores but a thin file. I've seen a lot of ~670-690 posts getting approved so you should be fine.

Can you wait a little for BCE and use Freedom for a few months? You have no welcome offer on that BCE pre-qual.

BCE regular offer is $100 back if $1,000 purchases in 3 months and 10% Amazon up to $200 back in 6 months.

If you can't wait, go for it, a friend got the BCE and the above offer with FICO 660. Good luck.

Re: AmEx website approval

Made a new account, apparently I'm just terrible at remembering passwords and couldn't get access to the other one. Well I essentially "cold apped" after realizing that there wasn't even a welcome offer on the pre approval. Other users seem like they are having trouble too anyways. Well I got approved for the regular link with the welcome bonus! It was a 1k SL but I wasn't expecting much more given my score. Thank you guys!
