A secured card offer would have been ok like how BofA does, but that serve is garbage it's like a sorry here's a salt in the wound offer. Your better off without Amex, their loss.
That is exactly how I felt!

It's like the Contour Debit card by US Bank. None of us need that
@Anonymous wrote:Well, I knew I was on the blacklist, but decided to apply for one of their cards. It would be no hard pull if I was blacklisted and oops there it was. Denied! That was two days ago and then yesterday I received an offer to apply for their secured card, Serve. Interesting...
(For those of you who haven't seen any of my posts on this, AmX was included in my Chapter 13 in 2008. When I was denied, there was a note that said I might be able to apply in the future.)
I am not interested in a secured card of any kind anymore, but thought this was an interesting data point for AmX. Anyone else have this experience?
The only other list I am on is Wells Fargo and I have no interest in any of their products.
Sorry to hear Musiclover
Amex is a weird bird!
We have similar stories and it sucks it hasnt worked out for you yet.
We included Amex in bk at around the same time you did but ours was chapter 7..(Go figure) Like you said in another thread..."you dont even wanna say how much" lol
I too dont want to say, but Ill say this....It was enough for them to show up to our bankruptcy hearing
Last year I said what the hell...Lets give it a shot! Both DW and I were approved instantly.
Only thing I do know is there is light at the end of the tunnel.. It will happen, sooner rather than later......im sure of it!
