Amazon "Further Processing"?

I apped for the Amazon Card after a success with the Walmart card and was told to call in for verification. I called in and the lady said expect something in 7-10 days, no decision given. So I called CS to see if I could get an actual answer and the rep said it had been declined. I waited 2 days and called today. The rep said, it was pushed on for "further processing" and I will get a response in a white envelope. She KEPT saying something about the white envelope. Does this mean it's an approval or what? Everyone is being horribly vague. I'm not used to this from Synchrony.

Sorry to hear they gave you the run arounds. That sounds like a denial if they are pushing white envelope. Did you have any other cards by Sync Bank ?

I apped for this card today, not sure why but I was told to call in and verify. I did. The woman was literally mid sentence telling me about the approval and the credit line and she paused, saying again, it was being sent on to further processing. I pressed for questions and she said Fraud Detection and to call back to be transferred to them. So I did, got another guy who contacted that department and they said I would get notification by mail. This is nuts....I swear. The fraud number in the backdoors thread no longer works. Any ideas?

Why would it go from an approval to a decline?

They verified my information and told me lookout for a white envelope. It was declined. I received a letter by email after verifying information.

Right but I didn't get the envelope thing until after the approval. It was an approval first, then she said the credit line was removed and it was sent for further processing. She even told me the credit limit and everything.

Weird have you disputed anything recently one of those bureaus love to put on fraud alerts that hurt more than help

I have fraud alerts on them all, which is why verification was requested. I'm going to call in the morning and see what they say.
