Amex Cli or New Card

I'm sure this question has been asked a few times, but things do change from day to day. I've had my Amex Delta gold card for over 6 months now, never received a cli, does requesting a cli results in a hard or soft inquiry? Also if I apply for the Gold charge card will it be a hard or soft inquiry?

You haven't provided enough background or DP to provide much help on your scenario. Amex quite often will SP those with accounts, but have been known to HP on occasion. Always expect an HP for any lender, and be pleasantly surprised when it's only an SP.

Do you have any derogs on report? Carrying high balances? No info on cards you hold. What was your limit on Delta? A $1k limit suggests a borderline profile.

You need to provide community a more robust understanding of profile, in order for them to provide meaningful suggestions.
