About 16 months post BK7 here. I Currently have 2 discover credit cards(IT $2000 & Miles $2500) and a few others with smaller limits.
FICO score is around 650. $85k income.
I have never had an AMEX card and I got an email to apply for the Gold Delta with a sign on bonus, which I read has lower underwriting requirements than other AMEX cards.
I just applied and previously when I have applied for AMEX's - I get an instant denial. This time, I got a 14 day message..
Does anyone know if this could be a good sign? I just recently lowered my utilization from 80% to 30% as well.
**Update**
I just received an email with an application status. It said it was declined due to Bankruptcy. Why would it even give me a 14 day message then? Why wouldn't they just decline me to begin with?! lol.

I included AMEX in my BK in 2006, it took me until 2017 before they allowed me another card. If you didn't include AMEX in BK, with the BK showing on your report, they will not approve you, AMEX is tough on BK's
I’m pretty sure it’s 5 years post BK that you can get approved if you didn’t include them in BK.
If you did include them, the debt must be paid.
