Amex ED CLI now or at day 61?

I just received my Amex ED in the mail and my limit is 5k. I am very tempted to request a CLI but I'm afraid i won't get approved. The credit score that amex said in the letter is 669. My score is now 694 and will be above 700 soon. Should I wait until they request a soft pull before attempting to get a CLI? Or should request it now? I don't want to be greedy but I do want to increase my available credit. Now or later?

Congrats on the approval... When ever in doubt, tell the truth. In this situation, if your gut isn't agreeing with you then I suggest you give it a go in 61 days. But the choice is always yours.

My gut told me I wasn't getting approved in the first place and I did lol can't trust it haha

There was one other person on here that said they got a CLI right when they got the card, I got an early CLI myself also. The worst that can happen is you get declined and it's just a waiting game from then. People have been declined a CLI even after the 61 days so it's really your call.

Do you have other cards with 10K+ limits?

You can either request now and wait 90 days if denied, or try to increase your score with Amex for the next 60 days or so and try then, if denied then you have to wait 90 days.

I did mine today and was approved for 3x CLI after 3 weeks

try it after you run some $$ through it
