Was originally approved for the SPG card back in March for $1000, it was my first Amex ever, then May 20th I had success with the 3x CLI and bumped my limit up to $3k. This morning, 185 days later, I tried for another 3x increase and got the dreaded 7 to 10 day message. What does this mean when it comes from Amex? What are my chances of getting the full increase or any CLI for that matter?

Check your email. They say 7-10 days but they usually send you an email with a link to check the status of your request within a few minutes.
I check my email like a hawk, nothing from them yet...

In that case I would call them saying your system hanged and you do not know if your request went in or not

Thanks, that's a good idea. I'm going to give them a couple more hours first then give them a call.

Sorry to hear about the 7-10. Each time I got that with AMEX it was a denial. Good news is that I got a current EX FICO with explanation letter in mail. Fingers crossed for you, One!

It's not always a denial, but it often is. You may want to call the backdoor number to check, as they might just need more info.
Unfortunately, I got the 7-10 on my 181 day CLI request, too, and it was a denial. But I'll try again on 1/31! If you do get denied, just try again in 91 days.
Denied.......

Well bummer! What reasons were cited?
Too many INQs....
