OP did the Cap 1 pre-qual tool show you were pre-qualified or was it a blind app?

@MrDisco99

Blind app.  I might wait for a prequal next time.

You will be waiting a long time for the preapprovaly for the Cap One Venture.  Me and my wife showed preapproval the day before the bonus was raised to 50k.  Haven't shown it since. And my wife has over 800 FICO 8.

Try Chase Hyatt.  I got approved for that with lots of inquiries.  Or Chase Marriott Business.  You seem to be lacking in hotel cards.  CITI AA might be another good one.

None of those are cards I want.

Besides the ones I apped for, I also intend to go for the new Chase IHG cards (for the bonus points) and get the Barclays Wyndham again at some point when the bonus hits 45K again. I’m sitting tight for now, though.

I did try my hand at the Amex cookie jar again since they’ve been pretty reliably unconcerned with inquiries or new accounts. But that’s a story for another post.

Curious why you would want Wyndham and IHG over Marriott and Hyatt. Their bonuses are worth a lot more .

Re: App spree gone horribly wrong

Sorry to hear that. I also have similar situation but on Capital One only.

I was denied from Capital One twice on two accounts because they said I only paid small amount of monthly payments. That's weird because the last five to six months, I have been paying more than that.

Starting minum payment for the Jan is $75. Current utilization is 27% as of today.

$100, $75,$1300,$3035,$61,$100

My other card starting minimum for the Feb $33.00. Current utilizaiton is 27%

$33, $54,$1180,$1440,$2100

It seems like Capital One is not that generous like it used to. Before that my credit scores were 720s to 730s.
