I came across this post and figured I’d give it a shot, since I’ve already went in a ridiculous app spree in the last week.... 
I have been turned down my everyone for inquiries... even Comenity for the good Sam card
Checked the pre-qual site and I was pre-approved for all 3. Figured they had to be inaccurate marketing offers, not real prequals.. Apped anyway and went to review. Shrugged it off as no surprise.
Got an email today (3 days post app) that I was approved for the cash rewards. I don’t know any of the terms yet and customer service said they couldn’t see my limit yet either.
Data points:
-pulled EQ - score 695 Fico 8
-currently showing 4 paid C/Os, repo that is reporting as Happening in 2018 instead of 2017, and a student loan in default that was successfully rehabbed but not reported to my reports, and a ton of lates
-oldest account 12 years 6 mons, average age of accounts 6 years 4 months, and 9/24 accounts
-almost 30 inquiries (yeah I know... whoops)
I think this is pretty solid evidence that their prequals are solid. Again, don’t know my limit.. for all I know it’s $500 (I don’t know what their minimums are) but the fact that I was approved at all blows my mind.

I applied since I saw so much success. I was pre-qualified for all 3, and I went with the BRIGHT card because of the balance transfer offer and no annual fee. I was approved for $5,500.
