BB&T pre qualify

I usally don't apply for a CC unless I'm sure I will be approved.  I went to the BBT website, did the "pre-qualified" test, and it offered me 3 choices. I went for the travel card.

28 May Email #1 In 2-3 business days, you’ll receive an email telling you whether the application has been approved or denied.

29 May Email #2 Your application has been reviewed by an account services specialist, and you should receive our decision in the mail within 7-10 business days.

I went back to BBT website and retook the "pre-qualified" test. 

And the result was: "Unfortunately, we were unable to locate any offers at this time."

Now isn't that special.

This is what you need to do. i got exactly the message you describe in your post.

1.Go into a branch and tell the CSR you need to create a profile with BBT. Make sure they dont sign you up for a checking/savings account.
2. Once profile is created, ask to see if any offers for a credit card is available.

3. If there is one, tell CSR to call credit card division of BBT and talk to rep. Let the CSR read the application from your profile to Credit card division CSR.

4. You will have your decision instantaneously. Do not apply if there are no offers; that would mean an HP.

i applied exactly as described above and was approved for a $5000 SL for a Rewards card. once you are approved or declined there will be no more offers available & every app you make is a hard pull.

It seems once you accept one of the offers, the prequals go away. I also have no offers after accepting my prequal offer.

Hello all,

I really a lot from this forum, after a friend of my recommended for to read and research items about my credit and gardening.

I recently applied for bb&t cash rewards and was approved for $6500. I also was approved for bb&t bright card but the card was never mailed out.

I have called customer service multiple times for weeks, I was told that I have to wait on a specific person to call me back about both of my accounts because none the agents can provide me any information over the phone.

Has this happened to anyone else that these two cards. I understand there are no backdoor numbers for bb&t, what should I do I just need advise.

If I remember correctly others here have had to wait a long time for their second and third cards.....Do a research here and you should find some info about it.

Ask for a 3rd card? Eventually a couple of them will show up.

I applied and was approved for all 3. Each one took longer to show up than the last. The third was well over a month

Finally had offers on the BB&T site. I feel good about the offers, but I am going to stick to gardening. I wanted the offer more than the card.

I got a bright recently with SP.

A few weeks later got another preapproval for any of the 3.

Pretty sure I could get another account with SP.
