BECU Has anyone had a credit limit decrease or other AA after being denied for a CLI ?

For any members of BECU , Has anyone had a credit limit decrease or other AA after requesting and being denied for a CLI or with any increase in overall general card utilization? Or any other time? I've not seen any AA reported with Navy Federal or PenFed just wondering about BECU ? If anyone had an AA after a CLI request with either Navy Federal or PenFed I'd be interested in knowing that as well . Any information would be helpful just considering applying for a CLI and I would appreciate your input Smiley Happy Thanks 🌈😁✨🥳

I asked about this after I totaled a vehicle that I financed with BECU. The insurance company's pay off was taking a long time & I didn't want to make an unnecessary payment since I had GAP. I asked if they may lower my credit limit on my credit card if my auto loan shows up as past due... they old me NO as long as I'm not more than (40, I think?) days past due.

There have been reports on AA by NFCU. Although, it's rare, but members have reported their accounts restricted or closed due to prolonged high balances on NFCU cards and/or late payments.

On the other hand, I don't think I've seen any reports associated with BECU AA instances. So, if your profile can support a CLI, just go for it. It'll be a HP, though.

Thank you so much for clarifying in regard to Navy Federal and the AA taken for having prolonged high balances and late payments with other members accounts. I'll definitely be more diligent in my searches when gathering information in the future!  💗✨ I appreciate your response 🌈

Adverse action by a credit union, other than for failing to pay one's bills, is a pretty rare bird.  And of all credit unions, BECU seems like it would be among the least likely, since its underwriters are not scaredy cats.
