How easy is the BP card to get and is it worth it? TU 777.
Since this card is backed by Synchrony, I know they like a strong TU score. If the TU score in your signature is the most recent score - I would say you would be a good applicant.
I have this card but don't recall what my scores were at the time I was approved. I only purchase gas at BP so to me this card is definitely worth it. I recently paid 46 cents per gallon of gas after redeeming the rewards from this card.

Do you have the Visa? How much did you need to spend to get gas that cheep?

I do have the Visa version. Well the promotion when I first received the card was Earn 25¢ off per gallon***
for every $100 you spend everywhere Visa® credit cards are accepted for the first 90 days (excluding non-BP gas stations). So I made this my primary card on everyday purchases during this promo period so it was easy to accumulate the "cents off per gallon". Then in February I received a promotion that if I spend $200 on the card I would earn 50 cents off per gallon and that is added to the discount I already had on my account. I also like to wait before I redeem my "cents off per gallon"
It's pretty easy to get the Non-Visa version, the Visa side is a bit more to get into. It's a good card to have if you have a 20 gallon tank or less or opt to fill up like me from 1/4 of a tank that way I maximize my rewards. DH didn't know that when filling up his truck, the pump clicks off at exactly 20 gallons when you redeem the rewards so he would slide the card back in and fill up the rest of the way. Overall the card may not have a great starting limit but they do grow.
