I applied for the Cash Forward MC with Barclay's bank and I received the 30 day message. I waited it out until I received the letter and it states:
-Sufficient credit is available on your account issued by Barclays Bank Delaware.
I laughed and siad really, my Rewards MC, is at a 750 limit and it has remained there for over a year. I have taken two HP, just trying to get this account to increase last year and I will not take another one for a CLI. I just don't understand them. The card I have with them will not grow and I cannot get another product with them, they didn't even pull my credit for this new card I was trying to get. It leads me to believe that I am internally blacklisted with them, eventhough I have one of their products.
My scores are much higher now than when I was first approved for this card and all my other cards in my portfolio has grown drastically. Someone please help me understand their reasoning or is there an understanding to their madness?
I am on the same boat with you, 2 cards with very heavy usage, and only one got a small auto cli after 6 full statements. They will give you what they feel comfortable with. Sometimes having too much credit with other lenders can scare them, and they are known to be -not so generous- when it comes to cli's. All you can do is use the card, pif, and hope for the best.
I understand they is someting else. I use the card for very small purchases now, I used to use it for everything but since they show me no love I just don't use it that much at all. I use it for my late night trips to the gas station and putting gas in the car that is all. I PIF every month.
I had a friend get turned down for a BofA card last month because they said she had "a sufficient amount" of credit extended to her already. Lol! Well, if they don't want the business...
I would definitely call customer service though. They will be honest to your face and nice about it. That may be all the bank is comfortable extending at this time. I don't know your situation, of course, but if you don't have a long history or a late payment or something somewhere that may have something to do with it.
I've contacted them on numerous occasions and no such luck. I am pretty much done with them. If they don't want no futher business with me in extending me more credit then that is fine, I will take my money some where else. No love lost.

Yeah don't sweat it! They wouldn't extend me any more credit either. Even though we were using the card regularly and running it up to 50% and paying before statement cut.
I had all recurring bills and all spend diverted to other cards. We haven't put a dime on it in two months. lol
It will be gone soon. There's always someone else that's willing to make money off you.
Could be they are just dipping their toes in the waters with you at this point and seeing how it goes before jumping in. Give it time and build your current card with them and that will improve your internal rating and odds for future approvals.
