I love Barclays. My limits aren't very high $2680 and $2500, but they're a couple of my favorites. Unless you're looking to get a car or mortgage I'm not sure I see the point in paying twice a month. Maybe you lose a few points, you end up getting them back fairly quick..
I used to pay twice a month, now I just pay once a month when I use the card. I now allow the balances to report to the cb, I've was just venting on how they are. It's just frustrating with such a low limit there is not a whole lot I can put on this card. Yes, my scores goes up and down each month. It's no biggie to me anymore. I will keep the card open and in a year I will try with either another card with them or a new account.
This thread got me wondering.I never have asked for a CLI on my Sallie Mae, 18 month old card. I've been a good boy so I thought I'd ask.. Asked for 5k so now I have a $7500 CL. They said they'd let me know in 24-48 hours but within 30 minutes they called. They only asked what my Mom's maiden name was. Easy. What a good day..

I laughed and siad really, my Rewards MC, is at a 750 limit and it has remained there for over a year. I have taken two HP, just trying to get this account to increase last year and I will not take another one for a CLI. I just don't understand them. The card I have with them will not grow and I cannot get another product with them, they didn't even pull my credit for this new card I was trying to get. It leads me to believe that I am internally blacklisted with them, eventhough I have one of their products.
My scores are much higher now than when I was first approved for this card and all my other cards in my portfolio has grown drastically. Someone please help me understand their reasoning or is there an understanding to their madness?
The mistake you made, is thinking that you could actually understand Barclay's. I went thru the same madness two years ago. they love to throw curveballs, must be the Delaware water.

I totally agree, they love those curveballs.

Wow reading this thread had me surprised. When I started out with Barclay they gave me 500 SL. I've had the card for almost 3 years and have a CL of 10,000 and I've never asked for a CLI. They bump me every sept, and they are my highest limit card. I did app for 3 new cards this past week so things may change. They may bump me down who knows.
I got my Rewards card with 750SL at the end of 2013, Had been getting auto CLI every 6 months like clock work.
I started getting quite a few other cards at the beginning of 9/2015 and since I noticed the auto love have stopped.
My current limit $4300 with moderate usage. This is the highest APR card in my lineup at 25.24%, oouchh,

I tried calling for a SP CLI on my Arrival+ and it was a no-go. Basically they said they don't do SP CLI, and I'm not willing to take the HP to up my CL with them. I wanted to see if there was any indication of a possible offer on the account as I've had up to 30% util report on that card in recent months (like, May!) and so a CLI would help with the util on that card. The representative I spoke with apologized for being unable to assist me, but said to keep an eye open as they sometimes did CLI of their own accord. I figure if they haven't done it within a year (the card was opened last January) they probably aren't ever going to get around to it.

Officially, if you ask for a CLI, it's a hard pull. Some people have success calling and asking for an APR reduction, whereupon you are transferred to the retention team (who can do a SP CLI, if there's an offer on your account), but I personally have never had luck being transferred. My prior Barclay card that wasn't in a 0% promo was the Upromise, and I had the lowest advertised APR. So if you have the lowest APR, you may be stuck, and unable to get to the SP CLI department.
