Hi guys,
Do you think it's possible to be approved for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard with TU/EQ at 713 and EX at 800?
I think they pull TU. Not sure if to wait till TU is around 750 or I can pull the trigger now?
Thanks
While everyone's credit profile is different, if you have a path that will get you to 750 relatively soon (maybe some baddies falling off, maybe you're improving your utilization rate, etc.), and you don't need the card this instant, I'd say go ahead and wait. Barclays does pull TU. Do you have any additional datapoints, such as your utilization rate, average age of accounts, age of youngest account, etc.? Also, this will probably get moved as it's not about an actual approval.
I don't see a way to get to 750 soon. The only downside is late payments on a student loan during 2015 and these won't come off until 2022.. And my AAoA.
My utilization rate is 1% (CL $46K on 5 cards and another $60K as an AU).
Last credit card inquiry Feb 2018. I do have some mortgage inquiries coming off soon from May-June 2017 though. Not sure it'll have an effect.
Average age of accounts is low as I just started building credit at late 2016 for the first time - it's 1Y3M now.
Age of youngest account is 2-3 months (car loan).
Yes, you're right about the inquiries.
There's a big difference since late payments on my student loan aren't reported on my EX for some reason, just EQ and TU. Hence, the score difference.
No, it's not credit karma.
It's FICO 8 scores. I see it on Amex/Wells websites and BofA website.
Question is, if to pull the trigger now with 713 or wait (although not sure a lot could change if I wait, just credit age).
Personally, I would look for an EX puller
I understand what you're saying but I don't want just *any* card. I need a travel card with bonuses for "other purchases" category. This card is the best for me in terms of travel rewards.
