Just start off asking why she was denied and form a defense for your mom from there.
LENGTH OF HISTORY
SHES AN AU ON ONE OF MY ACCOUNTS AT THE TIME IT REPORTED A HIGH BALANCE POST XMAS.
I have a TU 712 credit score, I applied for the Baclays Arrival Plust WMC last week and initially got a pending / will let you know in the mail status. Called the recon line to talk to an Analyst, explained that I just PIF on all my credit card balance the week before, something Ive been trying to do for years...and it hadn't been reflected in my CR yet. He also asked me about the high balance on a Chase card I was an AU for, I explained that I already have been removed as an AU the week before per my request. It was my dad's business card that he had put my college aged brother and I on to build up our credit with good intentions (great for my brother long term maybe , but I am in my late 20's with a steady income and multiple cards so this was unnecessary for me) ....but he had been away overseas for 3 months and have not done his expense report for his company to get that card paid off so it dinged my CR ( found this out the hard way when my credit score dropped 5pts all of the sudden one day as my parents did not tell me I was put on as an AU on a card with a 30,000 CL and 10,000 balance) . Told the Analyst i just recieved a raised, which helped me pay off my balance and now I wanted a good travel card. He then approved me for a 5,000 CL.
So definitely call the recon line and explain everything you can to them in a logical and polite manner.
I also called back and PC my Barclay arrival plus to a Visa Black with a different Analyst the same day.... Called back when I got the card and got the $495 fee waived. I have my own reasons for the Visa Black over the Arrival, I know it will work for my travel needs this year especially with the AF waived.
Recon !
