Called up the Barclays recon dept yesterday(i saw two HP's on her TU credit karma alerts for this app).
first i asked the status, and they said "too many new accounts in 2017. Total of 6 new accounts including one from Barclays"
Then i politely asked if they can give this card and move some my existing barclays card limit to this. He still said "NO". 
Then i asked about two HP pulls showing on credit report. He said that may not be true. he asked me to wait for a week/two to check back and call the customer service to dispute that.
I think, i need to stop applying new cards for atleast 12-15 mos on DW credit. and put her profile in garden..
