Barclays: applying first time, sending documents

Hi all,

I applied for Barclays card and was told on the phone to send them copy of ID, SS card and utility bill by mail.
I did sent all of these.

Then I received a letter requesting all the same but also specifiying that it should be image of the front and back. I have sent copy of ID front and back, but SS card only front.
And now I sit and worry. Does it matter for them to have the copy of the back of my SS card? Is it important? Should I send it now? Did anyone here receive

their card without sending them back of SS card (for your first time applying).

Thank you!

You should be OK. You could call and ask.

Thank you. I called several times and nobody answered.

So I just have sent my docs again. I don't know if it really matters for them to have the back of the customers' ssc, but the second mail I got from them (asking to send docs with the front and back) was already after I sent my first package and it was received. So I decided I better resend it since I couldn't ask them on the phone.

And I got approved Smiley LOL

I am so happy even with only $1k SL because with my new credit history I couldn't hope for much! But totally satisfied with $1k for now also because I wanted with this card to replace my Cap1 secured which was $1k too.

May be, moderators, move this to Approvals section please.

From the application to approval it took about a month. I got denied first and called recon line.

This is Special Financing Visa which I liked the most from all Barclays cards for it's look - simplicity and elegance Smiley Happy

I am also thinking to get Apple Watch with it.

And I finally figured out how to put images of my cards into signature here! Took image from Wallet app, will add my new Barclays there when I receive it. Amazing - the card is already reported to EX and TU! (may be EQ too, I can't see it for now)

Now I closed Cap1. Wonder how long it will take to get my deposit back.
