Denied for Bullion Card today. This is my second time applying.
Stated reason for denial on AA letter was DTI ratio.
They pulled TransUnion (same as last time), which came back at 751. They actually don't say which model they used though. 751 does not match my FICO8 according to Capital One and Discover, so it must be some other model.
At time of application I was
0/6
1/12 (last time I applied for this card)
8/24 (I applied for an auto loan a little over a year ago, so a bunch of those should combine for scoring purposes)
I called in and they do not offer reconsideration. Denial was instant, so I am guessing computer decision.
I think I'm done trying for this one. It's an interesting card, but it's not a good card. It's basically a glorified store card. I don't really understand why they're so miserly about it.
Looked over the card. Find it to be quite interesting.
Owning precious metals can be very fruitful but, one must ever be on the watch for wild market swings with precious metals. Made me think of my past ownerships. Almost makes me want to go out and prospect?

It's UMB... They're notoriously conservative.
They also delved their foot into issuing a "DC Comics" credit card which didn't last long. IIRC I believe they approved 14 applications*
