I too had a capped Quiksilver card. $300 for almost 2 years. Only CLI offered was $200 which I consistently declined. Then they randomly auto increased me to $2,000. Usage, income, and payment patterns hadn't changed. They're odd ducks.

It's super annoying but I'll tell you how my Cap 1 journey...
I received a secured card after BK and had it for a year. Used it and paid it off every month, never paid interest. They weren't willing to release my deposit so I applied to see if I'd be approved for another card. I was approved for a regular platinum, or a Quicksilver (world elite version) with no annual fee. Same credit line of $300. So I closed my secured card and just used the Quicksilver. Been using it the same way for 7 months now.. used heavily and pay in full and all they offer me is a lousy $100 increase. I'll just wait and see if I get an auto increase.
