CLI - Should I call Amex?

I have an Amex Optima card and a bit ago was doing a chat with Amex and asked for a CLI.  The unusual part for me is that I was asked how much I wanted to request.  I went conservative and said $500.  He also told me that I have to wait for 6 months before requesting again.  I was approved instantly for the $500 but is it worth calling and talking to the credit team to see if they would do more or just be content?

my scores today are TU - 686 EX - 683 EQ 643

To me, because it's another 6 months until the next one, I don't see the harm in trying that. As long as it is not a HP. The worst they say is no, and at least you'll have a clear mind in knowing nothing was left on the table.

That is what I was thinking.  Tonight was a SP so I'll give a call tomorrow and just see what they say
