CSR app Yes or no... opinions

I've been with Chase a little over 2yrs.

Want the CSR who thinks I have a shot?

I also want Amex BCP. I'm pre approved when I hit apply... So I'm thinking about trying that first. Hopping it'll be a soft pull.

I have no offers when I check my account.

Today I should be @ 3/24

Marriott SL $15k was my 1st account with them.

Then last year I opened Hyatt 18k and IHG 5k on the same day.

I do have some balances being carried
Marriott 15k/$1900
Hyatt 18k/$4100
IHG $5.6k/$1.7

Total utilization currently 18%
AAOA 4.6yrs
Tu and Ex BankCard fico 705/710
No Inquirys for 12 months.
Income $88k
Amex PRG NPSL I Chase Marriott $10k I Venture $15.3k I Amex BCE $10K I PNC 13K I Chase IHG $8.6k l Amazon $6k l Chase Hyatt 20k l US Bank Cash+ $13K I Barclays $12.6k I Venture $13k l Discover it $4.6k l Express Next $3.1k l Amex EverDay $15K l Cabelas 1k I Wayfair $17.1k I Walmart $8k l SG $9.8k l Target $3.6K I PP 2K l AU Shell Gas $900 opened in 1974 l Ex 704 Tu 698 Eq 667

Chase apparently likes your profile! As well as Amex. Why would you feel, you wouldn't be approved?

Re: CSR app Yes or no... opinions

Because of the balances on the chase cards. I also won't be able to pay them off for awhile...

Also... they already gave me $38.6k in credit. With my income only 88k not sure if I might hit my cap with them.

Re: CSR app Yes or no... opinions

If you aren't able to pay off the balances on your existing cards, I never recommend taking on additional lines of credit.  It's just not a financially sound move, IMO.  While you may be able to get approved for additional cards, including the one you're after, the question is why do you need it right now, especially if you can't pay off your existing balances tomorrow?  That's my conservative viewpoint/response, which I know won't agree with everyone.

Re: CSR app Yes or no... opinions

If I had too I could pay them off. But at the moment, the cash I have available is making me more money in my business than the interest 16% I'm paying on.

If this makes snice.

I gotcha,  I've thought several times I was maxed out. Only to find out I wasn't. lol

I'll let BBS be the angel on your shoulder. I'm the 😈 on the other. lol

My stated household income isn't much more than yours. Amex has given me a little over $76k in trade lines. Now let that sink in. lol

Re: CSR app Yes or no... opinions

Apparently Chase starts to get stingy once your credit limits are around half of your income. Since the card is min $10k lim and you're already at 38k, they may not approve you on those grounds. And if you ask to lower the limit of another card your utilization will increase

I agree with BBS, tackle debt before taking on more accounts.
