Understandable for sure but at the same time, a $150 CB for $1k spend is essentially a 15% refund on expenses you were going to be paying anyhow. For that it might be worth shifting the spend, especially since it opens you up to SP card approvals in the future from AmEx.
Yep. 100% this.
When you have a card that offers a SUB, shift your spending to that card to get the SUB so you get a much larger percentage of cash back than you otherwise would.
I’m going to second Remmy’s suggestion of the PP MC. That’s 2% cash back instead of the Quicksilver’s 1.5. Plus, the Quicksilver would most likely give you a tiny limit.

Any tips to have the reps to reconsider? I applied and I was told by the synchrony agent that it's denied.
Oh, that’s too bad! Just be polite and tell them that you’re responsible with credit and you were hoping to use the card for XYZ, and that they could give you a small limit to start, etc. Good luck and let us know!

Thanks ... I'm currently waiting for the letter to come in the mail to see why it got declined.

Unfortunately, if it's a system-declined outcome, SYNCB will not reconsider. Verification instances would be a different story.
