Capital One.. two inquiries in two days?

Hello,

Feb 10th I recently applied for and was accepted for a capital one card

credit wise sent me another notification today alerting me that cap 1 checked my credit again(once on the 10th and again today on the 12th).  Anyone have experience with this type of issue?  Any idea if a double inquiry will bring my credit down further than a single?  Thanks in advance

Capital One typically pulls all 3 CRAs for their major CCs.

Keep in mind that some of the alerts might be delayed and CreditWise provides the latter for both TU and EX.

So you're saying one alert could be TU and the other Experian ?

Yes, that's what it probably means. They pull all three so if you monitor all three, you should get three alerts / inquiries.

Finstar is right. Because Cap1 pulls from all 3 CB's, it will reflect your inquiry three times. These times may be delayed, sometimes up to a few days from each CB.

Exactly, so there should be 1 HP per CRA.

@Anonymous, when you access CreditWise, look at each of the alerts. One should be from EX and the other from TU.

Yeah from my experience, Experian is the fastest and Equifax is molasses.

Congratulations on your approval! 3rd pull should be arriving shortly. Triple whipple in effect.

If you aren't on it, I'd recommend creditkarma.com to track TU and EQ reports. Experian.com to track EX reports. These are available for free.
