Already have 3 chase cards and apped for Marriott on 10/21 and never instant for me. Called apped status line and got the 2 week message which is good for me and the next day I saw the Marriot in my login for 30K. Beat my last approval of United earlier this year by 3K. But I had to call verification department on my United app. Now I apped for Southwest on 11/9 and the automated line still says "you will be notified in writing of our decision in a pproximately 2 weeks". Should I just wait it out or should I just call the verification department now? I'm impatient as you can see but I definitley do not want to call lending services or underwriting for sure. What do you guys think? Sit and wait to see if it gets added to my account or call the verification department? If I do call verification department, what do I say? I only called verification on my United app cause they called me first and left a messsage to call them back. So I can't tell them that I got a message on my Southwest app to call this number like I did with my United app.
Common knowledge on this forum and other forums is for you to wait it out and usually it will yield better results. 2 week message is usually good. Patience is tough, but with Chase and especially adding a 30k CL with them less than a month ago it is best not to call lending as this could turn an approval into a denial. Hang in there and I bet you in a bit more time it will be an approval! Best of luck
Yeah I'm gonna wait it out. I just hope I did'nt reach my exposure limit with them. I have a total available credit of 83.5k with them between my 4 cards right now. I think that might have to do with why this app is still in limbo.

Ya you are pretty high with them. Obviously income factors in and assume you do pretty well if you already have 83.5k with them. You should be fine for a 5k approval. Best of luck and just wait it out.. Once approved you can always move your limits around without an issue to make whatever card whatever limit with them if one is to high or one is to low.
