If you fell off the 5/24 radar on 12/31, you should be ok to go.  Personally, Id wait until Feb 2 or after to apply, to make sure all Credit agencies are up to date.  Just keep in mind that Chase can also deny you for other things besides 5/24, they also look at how many inquiries were recent and what your DTI ratio is.  FYI, if you need to call recon, the lines have been long lately.
