Hey guys, I really don't know the answer to this. Does Chase actually have a CLI request button? If they do, do they only make it an option on your online account if they think you are worthy? Reason I'm asking is because I've never been able to find it, lol!
Chase has no online option for cli. You'll need to call the number on the back of your card, or an easily found credit analyst number, & ask for a cli the old fashioned way or send a secure message online. Be aware...Chase is a hard pull for cli but, if you're approved, it's generally good for up to double your current limit as lomg as your profile will support it.
You need to send a secure message in which they'll request certain information and get your ok for an HP - it's only worked for me once, every other time it's been a no. I recently used the secure message to say I'd like to use my Freedom UL more but at 24.49% apr and "stuck" at $10k for years it's really not my daily card, especially for a large purchase.
Their reply was they would check, the second reply was nope they would not reduce the 24.49% so I asked if they could transfer the credit limit to my AARP card with 17.74% apr and they replied yes $9500 could be transferred so now I have a $15,500 17.74% card and I closed the $500 Freedom UL. (they were both Signature versions). Does not make much sense to me since the APR was lowered and the AARP card - which actually has better benefits - is now at $15,500.
This was all done by secure message although I hear that calling them has the same results.
Thanks, @Physh1, @pipeguy, and @AverageJoesCredit!
I thought they were just hiding it from me. And hanks for the info that it's a HP. I definitely won't be asking til I'm willing to let a HP hit my reports. Guess, I'll have to hope for a charitable auto-CLI.
