Stipulated, but that's kind of the point; it's store-only, you can't use it outside Amazon. I'm pretty sure the OP was wanting a card that would both earn Amazon rewards and could be used near-universally. The problem - and I believe this hurts Amazon - is that Chase is so unforgiving of past credit problems, particularly if their products were involved.

Chase is my favorite lender, but they sure can be pull happy. They could hear you sneeze across a couple of states and want to get them a HP in. 

I’m sorry you didn’t get approved. Chase is one of those that clings to those old memories.

For the Synch version I don't want to go that route as I have 3 cards with them and don't want to burn another inquiry ahead of end of year when I will likely refi.
