I also had applied at the same time for my Citi card and got approved today. I may try later in the week to get the chase card, but if not then it's not a big issue in terms of me being approved for Citi's card. The main reason was to get a card I could use everywhere, which Citi's is a MasterCard so I should theoretically be set to go.
