Looking forward to you posting that approval! 👍🏻

I called, surprisingly my app was denied for too much outstanding installment debt. I have a 20k Prosper loan with $1200 (two payments) left, 10k Lending club balance $4500, car loan with *Chase* 25% paid off, another car loan that's 85% paid off. That really doesn't seem excessive with no CC debt and my income.
My credit situation is far better now than it was when they instant approved my CSP a few years ago.
I'm on hold waiting for a reconsideration specialist.

COVID and current situation is making it hard to know what they're looking for. Even some of the reliable CU have changed drastically.
myFICO is good for those trends and DP. Good luck!!

Ultimately they did approve me. They asked about my installment loans, I reiterated that one is almost paid off, and where the others stood they were ok with that. Then they had concerns about my available CC credit being fairly large ($145k total CL), they would have really freaked out if I followed the path of some of our members with ridiculously high total CL. Like many here I have no need for that much CL, but at one time I was carrying significant CC balances and requested them to get my overall UTI % down. For those that see no downside to repeated CLI requests, I would not be surprised to see more lenders consider too much available credit as a red flag. Even though they had this concern, they didn't ask me to reduce any other limits.
Finally, they were concerned about their exposure since I have about $30k CL on my existing Chase cards and my usage level doesn't support needing those limits. They did not want to give me any new CL, but were willing to move some from existing cards, so I had them set the new card at $6500, moved from Amazon.
Overall, this really makes me think that Chase is tightening up severely. I'll start a follow on thread in the approvals forum.
