Citi Aadvantage Business

I closed my Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select 1 year and 2 months ago. I have a Citi Aadvanatge Miles up card. I saw online that for AAdvantage Cards, there is One Bonus Per Card Per 48 Months (4 years). Because of that, I cannot apply for a Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select and get the bonus. But if I apply for a Citi Aadvantage Business credit card, would I get approved? That would be my first business card.

Re: Citi Aadvantage Business

I believe the business card and personal cards are on different 48 month windows although I would wait for someone to back this comment up.

Thank you, so it seems I won't have any problem.

Re: Citi Aadvantage Business

From what I understand, Citi treats the personal and business AAdvantage cards as separate products; so the 48-month bonus restriction should only apply within the same product family type. That means you could likely be eligible for the bonus on the Citi AAdvantage Business card even though you had the personal Platinum Select. Approval would still depend on your overall profile and Citi’s business card requirements, but since this would be your first business card with them and your scores are solid, you should have a decent chance.
