I requested and increase from $3.6k to $25k, hoping for a counter-offer. That didn't happen. I got a flat-out denial, and they stated they wanted to see history on the card first. How long does it usually take to get a SP CLI, and how much do I need to run through the card?
Sometimes the site will have an option where you can request a CLI without any credit report requested. You just have to check on that every once in a while. I forgot when I first started getting that message though but it was well before my card even turned a year old. If you're successful with that, you have to wait six months or so to be able to actually apply for another CLI without as much of a chance of getting denied.

If your account is elegible, 6 months would be the earliest timeframe to see if it qualifies via SP. Use it well and frequently so you can establish some internal history with the card.

did you do this online and sent for manual review and it came back denied with no counter?

I got that within 2 days of opening my new DC account. When I activated the card I asked for a CLI and they approved with HP, but considering the SP CLI option I asked for a CLI again and they denied me saying I need to wait 6 months for another CLI.

They pulled EQ and EX for my app and then EQ again for the CLI.
