Comenity has given me a headache for the day.....

These people literally do not know anything I swear..

I requested an increase on my Victoria Secret Card and my J Crew a few hours ago. Well why did I receive a credit inquiry alert AND a denial for Brylane home a few minutes. **bleep**????? Smiley MadSmiley MadSmiley Mad I have never used that card since I was approved for it nor do I need or requested an increase on it.

I called Comenity and spoke with a supervisor and advised me that she doesn't show where they processed the request and see that the cli for the other two went through. I advised her that they pulled my credit report for Brylane Home and I haven't even signed on to that account since last year. So for 22 minutes we are going back and forth about this crap and she pretty said that there was nothing she could do about even though the letter said: Since we were not
able to contact you with the information provided, we cannot complete the processing of your request".

Can I just submit a complaint with CFPB or is it even worth it? I'm in the garden and this is going to set me back with my goal unless I can get them to delete this crap.

If there are HPs for CLIs on the ones you asked for there is nothing you can do. As far as the one that you didnt request I would demand that the HP be removed and failing that I would file a complaint with the CFPB.

Had the same thing happen on my Brylane card and so did my mom. I know mines and her happenened cause there were freezes on the account. But the letter made no sense since I never got a call. But then I checked my Brylane account and sure enough there was no number showing on my profile...so I called and asked what number were they calling according to the letter and it was none as the answer lol. Well hell an email would have been good to say hey go update your profile cause we aren't competent enough to pull the number from your app or brylane store profile.

I would dispute the pull with the credit bureaus it might be a long road but a start then push it to the CFPB if there's not response.

Exactly. I asked the supervisor what number they "supposedly" call and she said the number that's on your number CB Report. No you guys didn't and I know that's a lie because I've had the same number YEAAARRRRSSSSSS, my credit report is accurate, and my phone has been by me all morning. I hope this dispute doesn't get my cards closed down. If so, oh well theryre all crappy limits anyways.

Yeah that's how I felt...The guy that said it all on the phone increased my credit limit from $200 to $450 but lied..no sooner then I asked is it a hard pull...ding went the myfico app and yes it was...I just said forget arguing...I just hated looking at them stingy limits on my report when everything else is triple that or more lol.

Call their corporate office make sure you talk to the consumer relations department, and ask them to recode them at soft pulls..

Re: Comenity has given me a headache for the day.....

So I called them back last night and the CSR jumped right on the issue. She stated that all she had to do was fill out a correction form and send it to the credit bureaus. She did this in less than 10 minutes. All she needed to confirm was the date they they pulled my report and sent the letter electronically while we were on the phone!! Glad someone knew what they were doing!!!
