Disco Luv Button Glitch May Have Cost Me $7k

Hey guys,

So I am up late and decided to try for a CLI with Discover. They’ve treated me well over the years and I’ve been pretty successful with increases. It’s been at least 3 months since my last. So I logged in the app at about 2:45am (should have known better) clicked the CLI button. I put my information in, clicked submit, and got this weird screen I’ve never gotten before which said “you’ve been approved for up to a $7,000 increase.” It showed my new “Account Information” balance which included the new $7,000. It included just two buttons “Submit” and “Cancel” which was a different screen than usual. Normally it would ask me if I wanted to take the full increase or not and would include more information on the screen. When I clicked “Submit” it said “only half the application has been completed” then it gave me an option to “return” to complete abs presumably get the $7k or “cancel.” When I’d click return it would just take me back to the prior screen saying submit or cancel. I did this 3 times in a circle to no avail. Eventually I just cancelled it out. Then I went on my desktop and tried again and I got the 2 day review message which I’ve never received before. When I logged on 10 minutes later to check if it would even allow me to try again (not that I would have) or throw a system maintenance error, it gave me the system maintenance error. Seems I just chose the wrong time of day to try for a CLI that otherwise would have been successful. I know better than to mess about with bank sites around 3am. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Has anyone experienced this before? How should I go about this? Wait 2 days? Try again? What if it denies me after I’ve been approved but glitched? I have the screenshot of the approval but I didn’t take a screenshot of the error message after hitting submit stating I had to go back to finish the application if I wanted the increase.

Thanks for your time!!

Re: Disco Luv Button Glitch May Have Cost Me $7k

This is one of those times where I would call Disco and see what they can do.

Re: Disco Luv Button Glitch May Have Cost Me $7k

I thought Disco had 24-hr customer service. I would have called the number on the back of the card immediately. Call the moment you read this. I don't think you lost your $7K CLI. I think there was just a glitch in the system. I bet they're able to see it on their end.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks guys. I called and they told me to call back today after 7am. Seems they can’t do it right now due to the system maintenance.

Most banking/credit card websites seem to do their site maintenance late-Friday/early -Saturday mornings so it’s probably best not to try anything during that time of the week.

Re: Disco Luv Button Glitch May Have Cost Me $7k

Update, I took everyone’s advice which was the same, called again today and they told me they do see my $7k approval but since I tried to resubmit an application again after the glitch crash, it jammed everything up and gave the “2 day review.” A credit specialist out of Wilmington that I was transferred to said it would take about 15 minutes, like Average Joe said, to cancel out all the duplicative junk in there and reinstate my new $7,000 CLI. I haven’t checked yet but I believe it will be. I’ll keep you updated if the saga continues.
