I'm still stuck with 1500 limit since a year or so.
Just tried CLI. DENIED!!!
TU: 791 according to CCT
Wow, you take that score elsewhere. Seems like the general consensus is that Disco is mid-grade, even beginner but they have shown some love to top tiers as well. It sure is a weird game. There was a thread I read a week or so ago of someone on here that has a $68k line with Disco. Maybe app for another IT card and see what your SL is?
That's what I'd advise as well. I got a SL on my new IT 2x the old one, so I'm going to use it actively on at least the first quarter's cash back and see if I can get it growing - I know I'm supposed to wait on CLI's until after the 3rd statement so I think I'll know how it's going to go come June.
I just put in my monthly CLI request and denied. I haven't had an increase since 12/4. The letter always says it's for insufficient use of credit line.
Considering the inactivity of this thread, I'm wondering if anyone else has hit a dry spell like me?
My TU score is 744, just updated today on Disco's website and I currently have a balance of 700ish (still on 0% offer). I put nearly all my spend on it except my phone bill because it doesn't take Disco. I can't complain too much since my line went from 1500 to 5800 last year which is comfortable for me, but still kind of a bummer.
I myself have not been lucky to get any CLI's from Discover since Sept. my limit is still sitting at 2.3K. Although my TU Scores consistently had gone up, they too have been consistent in telling me that I have insufficient experience with my current CL. My other TL's have significantly grown since I got them, all except Discover, which I really could not understand, since I do spend a fair amount on the card. Just trying to hold on to it as long as I could with hopes that it will eventually grow. If not, then hopefully around Sept. I can apply for the Visa network card that I can replace them with.

I have hit a draught. TU FICO8 = 807 SL was 4k, 3 consecutive increases took it to 10k, last increase was 9/30/17. 16 rejections since, last request 4/7/18. Same reason every time, "Not enough experience with current limit".
I'm in a drought as well. My scores are significantly lower than all of you above me. SL was $5.5k in June 2017, CLI to $6k then to $7.5k in Jan via luv button and tried to double dip but they wanted a HP. I've pretty much been trying every week and getting the "not enough experience with current limit" letters.
Will probably wait to July at this point, once I hit 181 and give it a go.
@AnonymousI have hit a draught. TU FICO8 = 807 SL was 4k, 3 consecutive increases took it to 10k, last increase was 9/30/17. 16 rejections since, last request 4/7/18. Same reason every time, "Not enough experience with current limit".
It happens. I went 4-5 months with CLIs every month, then hit a flat spot where I received nothing but denials for 9 months. During the majority of those 9 months I requested a CLI every Monday morning, so I'd estimate it was something like 30-35 rejections, all with the "Not enough experience with current credit limit" reason that you've been seeing. Finally I got a CLI again after 9 months and then received another 2 months later and another 2 months after that. I'm just about at 2 months since that one, so perhaps I'll see another soon. If your time line is following mine at all, perhaps you'll see your next CLI within a month or two.
What's your typical monthly spend? To offer up a few spend-related data points, during my 9 month period of not receiving CLI's I was putting typically around $1300-$1700 through the card each cycle. I dropped that spend down to $200 month 8 of no CLI and the next month is when I finally got another CLI. I then dropped my spend down to a single $5 swipe the cycle after that and received another CLI the following month. I'm not sure if my "tough love" played a role in getting the CLI(s) or if it was just a coincidence, but it may be something worth trying out on your end.
@AnonymousI have been putting about $1200 through the card, my 1 year is coming up next month so IT has been getting 5% as well as general spending due to cash back match, it will however get little to no action once it hits one year including 5% (BCP back in play for grocery @ 6%), opportunity to show them some organic tough love, we'll see what happens.
Makes sense to me. My 1 Year mark hit 6 months into my 9 month no-CLI slump, so it was easy to drop my spend without leaving rewards on the table. I can't remember exactly what the rotating categories were last Q4, I believe Amazon for the holidays, which I use my Chase Amazon for anyway. It was easy to give them a $5 tough love swipe that one month and a small $200 spend the month prior to that.
Hmm like BBS I had a string of about 4-5 CLIs before hitting my drought as well. My Double Cashback time frame ends after today, so, after I pay off my Discover I'll probably give them a bit of tough love except for category spending lol.
