The GreenState FCU World Mastercard was next on my list of cards. I'm out of their service area so I called them up to try to get in with American Consumer Council membership. They took note of my state of residence and didn't ask for ACC membership.
Once everything was complete, I asked about credit cards and they said I have to wait 6 months from account opening due to being out of their main service area.
😇 Thank you for sharing information your experience!
@Dougherty i was way out of their service area was was SP approved upon account opening - this was about 10 month ago. This would stink making you wait 6 months, you would have to take the HP if you want their credit card
@mfinsmi1Did you request the credit card and if so how? Or if it was a targeted/automatic offer where did you see it?
@Dougherty when i called to join the CU when you get the rewards checking they SP and let you know if your approved for any of their cards

Did you open checking account as well with them? If so, at the same time joining this CU, over the phone with the rep, or later on online? Joining this CU is HP/SP? Do they do HP on Chex too? If you know anything about all these? Tnx
@Janneman It is impossible IMO do it online Here is the screen you get to open an account. No ACC or other options

Thanks Andy. I didnt take a look at their site to know all this...I was asking all these questions out of curiosity...Thank you so much.
Thanks for sharing this interesting info @Dougherty, Green State is on my radar, so this is good to know. I was hoping @mfinsmi1's experience would still be applicable, as I'd like to pursue the travel card in the near future, but hey, the rules change and we still play the game.
like i said, i called up to join , got the rewards checking which is RECOMMENDED if you want them to SP your credit report to see if your elgible for a credit card (because the rewards checking will be linked to your CC swipes) - i got everything in one single phone call
