That 61 day is blown out of proportion. People are getting the 3xCLI way before the 61 days. If your credit profile supports the increase, you should be fine whenever you decide to flirt with the Amex luv button.
+1
Same here. I pressed it around Day 10, 3x increase.
I don't get it.
I have had a Jet Blue Amex and a Delta Skymiles Amex, for 11 months.
Haven't been able to beg, borrow, or steal a CLI on either of them.
My credit scores are much higher now than they were when I got the cards.
What gives?
@Anonymous wrote:@For those of your that did the succesful 3x CLI request @activation, did the new CL report when your card first hit the CA's?
Yes, my card reported 6k instead of 2k.

Unfortunately this isnt a ? thats going to be answered to your satisfaction. Too many unknown variables to discern with any certainty. Besides what U really want is an educated guess and honestly I dont even feel comfortable providing that. Card companies are always using whatever internal metrics to determine risk as they deem appropriate. Who really knows they see in your particular case.
At the very least, as far as it having anything to do with your card selection I see that as doubtful although your interaction with said cards could be a factor. In any event as stated simply too many unknowns to be certain but I'd simply move forward with whatever other cards exist in your portfolio that may yield more positive results. I imagine u could press them on the matter if its that important to U but thats entirely up to u. Probably not too helpful.... but it is what it is.
Almost forgot.... grats to OP.
