How long should I wait to apply for the Discover card?

I am planning to apply for the Chase Freedom card in the next couple months. I also want to get the Discover It card. How long should I wait to apply for the Discover card after I get the Freedom card?

Really depends on your profile. We'd need more information. If you don't have too many inquiries on your reports (assuming everything else is clean) right now you could technically shoot for both at the same time.

0.01929 seconds. But seriously, you should have no issue getting both at the same time.

Just do them back to back, I wouldn't worry as long as your scores and profile support it. I once did 5 cards back to back and got them all.

Re: How long should I wait to apply for the Discover card?

What I worry about is the starting limit on the Discover card. I currently don't have a high limit credit card. I am fairly certain that I will get a fairly high starting limit on the freedom card, and I read that when lenders see a high limit card on your profile, they are encouraged to offer a high limit on their card. That's why I was thinking maybe to should wait a month or two before applying for the Discover. Let me know your thoughts on this.
