Hi everyone. I applied for a Cap One card on the day I was discharged. And appears I am backlisted. Since I was denied for a unsecured card, I was hoping to rebuild with their secured card. But again, I was denied. In the denial reason, it stated
Based on your application information, there is a currently pending or recently processed application with Capital One
Does anyone know when I can apply again? Do I have to wait 7 days, 14 days, or even 30 days?
I'm going to say in your case, it sounds like a recently processed app. Which means 6 months would be good. Don't give up. They're normally good about forgiving people.
I would try again for at least 45 days from time of denial or you run the risk of getting that exact response again.
I was able to obtained 2 cards within 30 days. Waited for day 32, tried again and got 2 more. YMMV.
Yes, you can app for more cards. Just depends with them. I had two QS's and have two Venture's. Combined my QS's and getting ready to combine my Venture's. I'm finding it easier to deal with just 2.
I recall reading that with Capital One you can apply for two cards every 30 days under normal circumstances.
In this case, I would hold off for a month (and probably give it a few days after just to make sure) before trying again.
