They pulled EQ for my initial app in Texas. How long ago was the intial app? I can't find it now but I thought I saw a thread stating that USAA was now using Experian. It may have been
the vantage score service that they offer.
My last card was obtained in January and my dh was 2 weeks ago.

@Anonymous wrote:Just an update. It turns out that they pulled my EX, not EQ.
I am in AZ, don't know if that matters. The most recent info I could find on the credit pulls database showed EQ.
For new cards they use Ex but when you want an inc, they use EQ. Just for your future reference should you ask for inc's
Thanks for the info.
The csr said they pulled EQ for the initial application. I know that they pulled EQ when I was declined Jul '16.
I have two cards and dh has three, this has been the case with every one of them. I've seen a few people say differently but not many. I think some random states might use EQ. When you do an inc check back and let us know how it worked out for you,
Thanks again. I will update if/when I request a cli.
Is it a SP or HP cli?
Is there a minimum amount of time before you can request a cli?
The link will show up at 6 months. It's a hard hit. They have never auto inc ours. I spoke with them about a sp and they said they dont do it at all. Although some people say they got an inc with a sp.
Not necessarily. It is dependent on your profile. I had my USAA cards for two years and I had the "increase my credit limit" option for the first year or so. I used a balance transfer option on one of my cards, taking the utilization ($21k limit) to 25 percent and the link disappeared. I had another card with an $18k limit and the link disappeared for it as well. In January of this year I paid the balance off and closed the card. On my remaining card ($18k) the increase limit link immediately showed back up. I requested and received an $11k CLI immediately. Hard pull on EQ. So the limit increase link is definitely profile dependent. (Typically every six months as stated).

Yup he already sent security after me. I'm watering my roses as we speak.
You can always count on MJ. I'd be in big trouble without him. ![]()
My CLI link showed up at slightly under six months. Got the card October 2nd, and the link showed up on March 31st. It's been taking every ounce of willpower to keep from clicking it each time I log in.

That was my experience as well. I finally hit the button in January when I got my Amex card and they doubled my starting limit that I got in August. Seems worth it but I do wish they would inc without a hp.

Hey Cap, I always had my increase credit limit link showing UNTIL my utilization rose. Then it disappeared. With my first cards with starting limits of $7k and $4.5k at six months I hit it and went to $12k and $10k. At the one year mark I went to $21k and $18k. Then I did a balance transfer right before the 15 month mark and the link disappeared until I PIF the higher limit card. Closed it and link came back on the other card, and instant $11k increase.
